Business Development Manager / Account Manager - Transport

My client is on the look out for experienced Sales person to join their company in a Business Development / Account Management hybrid role.


About the role

The role is roughly 80% New Business and 20% Account Management, it does require candidates with a previous track record working in the NZ domestic Transport industry. You will be given tools of trade to do the role and the support needed to achieve.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Obtain new business through prospecting and solution selling
  • Meeting and exceeding KPI's
  • Developing ongoing relationships to ensure you are cross selling and increasing revenue streams for the business
  • Sales reporting and maintain CRM notes
  • Working on retention and growth of existing business within your portfolio 


The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with;

  • Proven BDM experience in domestic transport
  • Professionally savvy
  • Excellent presentation with clear communication ability
  • Ability to maintain your administration in CRM and working with tight KPI's
  • Exceptionally self motivated and commission driven
  • Ability to manage key relationships
