Key Account Manager

The company:

We are on the hunt for an experienced Customer Service Representative / Key Account Manager to join a well established and vibrant freight forwarding company.

 

The roles will include:

  • Loads of client liaison (have your own client base)
  • Order placement to overseas origin offices
  • Monitor the importation of goods right through to delivery
  • Provide order status and management to client
  • Rates and quotes when required
  • Client visits

 

Requirements for the role:

  • Must have knowledge and experience of international freight forwarding 
  • Candidates from a Customer Services, Import Operations or  Sales Support backgrounds will be considered
  • EDI experience would be favourably considered but not essential
  • You will need to have excellent communication skills, be customer focused and enjoy the high pace and demands of the industry.

 

Remuneration:

The salary will be dependent on your previous experience and skills.

Pricing and Procurement

The Roles:

In one role you will be supporting the Sales team by procuring rates and providing them with pricing and quotations, along with following up and maintaining the pricing matrixes.

In our second role you will be supporting the Pricing Manager, updating spreadsheets, liaising with shipping lines and airlines, and quoting

Main tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Achieving maximum Sales profitability & growth through effective promotion to both existing & potential customers
  • Providing quotations / proposals using company templates / procedures & KPIs
  • Conducting follow up calls/emails to Clients / Agents on quotations provided & report feedback to the Sales team
  • Supporting the General Manager with ensuring our supplier costs remain competitive & relevant
  • Updating pricing and procedures to achieve maximum sales profitability
  • Looking for potential opportunity which may support a sales focus / campaign based on trading / quotation requests
  •  Developing tariffs and user guides for our offices and overseas agents to use
  •  Researching existing client base for new opportunities to be passed to the BDMs for follow up

About you:

Ideally you are in similar role, with some experience in procuring pricing . You must be proficient with EDI Cargowise, along with having sound knowledge of exports, imports, airfreight and Seafreight.

The Jobs

Your ability to manage the entire Import process is essential as the client needs you to hit the ground running.  Your new role will include but not be limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines and local forwarders, releases and schedules
  • Register and process clients' documents/shipments
  • Track and trace for containers and cargo
  • Invoicing jobs

Business Development Manager - International Freight

About the role

The role is Business Development Manager and does require candidates at a senior level where you are the face of the company, out there gaining new business opportunities. You will be given tools of trade to do the role and there is a great support structure behind you.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Obtain new business through prospecting and solution selling
  • Meeting and exceeding KPI's
  • Developing ongoing relationships to ensure you are cross selling and increasing revenue streams for the business
  • Sales reporting and maintain CRM notes

 

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with;

  • Proven BDM experience in freight forwarding
  • Professionally savvy
  • Excellent presentation with clear communication ability
  • Ability to maintain your administration in CRM and working with tight KPI's
  • Exceptionally self motivated and commission driven
  • Ability to manage key relationships

First and foremost, you need to be driven, a true hunter and drive to succeed.  Freight forwarding experience and knowledge is a must along with a strong disciplined work ethic with the resilience to work in a competitive industry.  You will maintain a professional standard out there in the market place, have the confidence to compete and the success there on in will lie with you.
