The company:

Our clients are looking for an Operations person in International Freight Forwarding to join their tight knit team based at Auckland Airport.  You will have previous experience in an operations role in freight forwarding with knowledge of both Airfreight and Seafreight.

The roles will include, (however not limited to):

  • Building strong relationships with customers and agents.
  • Order placement to overseas origin offices
  • Monitoring the importation of goods, right through to delivery to the final customer.
  • Sending through pre alerts, final invoice and providing order status updates to customers.
  • Updating rates, costings and quotes when required.

 

Requirements for the role:

  • Must have at least 1-2 years experience in International Freight Forwarding 
  • EDI Cargowise experience is a must
  • Candidates with Customer Services, Import Operations or Sales Support backgrounds will be considered
  • You will need to have excellent communication skills, be customer focused and enjoy the high pace and demands of the industry.

 

Remuneration:

The salary will be dependent on your previous experience and skills.

The role is Business Development Manager and does require candidates with freight forwarding knowledge. You will be the face of the company, out there gaining new business opportunities. You will be given tools of trade to do the role and the support needed to achieve.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Obtain new business through prospecting and solution selling
  • Meeting and exceeding KPI's
  • Developing ongoing relationships to ensure you are cross selling and increasing revenue streams for the business
  • Sales reporting and maintain CRM notes

  • Previous experience in freight forwarding

Customs Broker - 12 Month Contract

 

The Company:

Our clients are well known freight forwarders, a household name in their industry, who are looking for 2x intermediate Brokers to join their team - One at the airport and one in a highly sort after location, away from the airport!

 

About the role:

In this role you will be part of the team and sharing your knowledge with those around you. There are a number of key accounts that import and export a wide and varied range of commodities and through your knowledge and expertise you will build a good rapport with the clients.

To be considered for this role you will need to have your NZ Customs Pin and have previous experience as a broker in freight Forwarding, and be confident in classifying a diverse range of commodities from the tariff and have strong knowledge on Customs & MPI rules and regulations.

 

The Candidates they are looking for will be:

  • Customs Broker with Pin
  • Customs Broker with International clearance experience 
  • Accurate and be able to push through a high number of entries.

Sales Support

The company:

Our client is medium sized and a big player in the movement of freight world wide. They are located out at the airport and are seeking a dynamic personality to join them in a Sales Support role that can make their own!

 

The role:

The functions of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work very closely with Sales and assisting them with any rates, quotes and assist in any tender or project requirements
  • Dealing closely with other forwarders, overseas agents, shipping lines and suppliers regarding rates
  • Rate negotiations
  • Preparation of rates and quotes
  • Maintenance and distribution of the rate tariffs
  • Assist the sales team further where required with any sales appointments, marketing and promotions
  • Timely reporting and various analytical and statistical functions.
  • Update all parties for any industry updates and business news as required

 

About you:

To be the successful candidate you MUST have previous international freight experience, ideally already from a Sales Support role or similar. Your ability to handle pressure and deal with all walks of life will be one of your biggest strengths. Your skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be fantastic, along with your impeccable eye for detail.
