About the role:

Looking for a brokers at a intermediate to senior level, who is well versed in all things operational In this role, you will be part of a small team - as Team Leader, sharing your knowledge with those around you. There are a number of key accounts that import and export a wide and varied range of commodities and through your knowledge and expertise you will build a good rapport with the clients.

To be considered for this role you will need to have your NZ Customs Pin and have previous experience as a broker in freight Forwarding, and be confident in classifying a diverse range of commodities from the tariff and have strong knowledge on Customs & MPI rules and regulations.

Job Description

This is a varied driving and stores positions and you will be working in a high pressured freight environment so your level cool head and hands on flexible approach will see you succeed in this role. 

 

Your new role will include but not be limited to:

Freight Junior - Career Opportunity!!

Supply Planning Manager

Over the decades since their early beginnings in the late 70’s this Kiwi owned company has gone from strength to strength.  Based in South Auckland they manufacture a range of personal health and animal health products.  They are able to take a concept through to commercialisation from early formulation through “stagegate” processes.  Their manufacturing is compliant with cGMP and they meet many stringent regulatory and compliance standards.  Currently they are seeking a Supply Planning Manager who will report directly to the Operations Manager.

The main purpose of this role is to oversee Supply Chain and Production Planning.  You will purchase all the raw materials for new and existing products, manage inventory levels, resolve supply chain issues and meet or exceed customer order fill rates.  You will interact with local and overseas suppliers and 3PL distribution centres and be responsible for the Warehouse and Warehouse staff on site.

To be considered for this role you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Strong background in ERP Systems. Dynamics AX.  Planning and Procurement modules. 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.  The ability to interact at all levels within an organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills and eye for detail
  • Proven management experience, able to develop and manage a small but growing team
  • Strong negotiation skills, previous experience negotiating with suppliers and freight companies both local and offshore

Import Airfreight Operator

The company:

Our client is a global leader in Freight  and shipping and are in search of an experienced Import Airfreight Operator to join their team.

The role:

You will look after the day to day import operations,  receipting manifests and docs to process airfreight shipments, releasing freight, track and trace, ensuring docs are received and passing them onto the brokers for clearance, rates, quotes, dealing with airlines, forwarders, clients, overseas agents and various suppliers and handling any general customer enquiries. 

Hours of work:

The hours of work 8.30 to 5.00 pm and the usual overtime if and when required as it goes in freight. 

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience in Freight Forwarding, ideally Import Air 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great computing ability
  • Flexibility is required as the workload can have its peaks and troughs.
  • Full drivers licence

Salary:

Dependent on your level of experience the salary range is $55-65K.

Our client is a smaller Freight Forwarder located out at the airport, who is seeking a dynamic personality to join them in a Sales Support role that can make their own!

 

The role:

The functions of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work very closely with Sales and assisting them with any rates, quotes and assist in any tender or project requirements
  • Dealing closely with other forwarders, overseas agents, shipping lines and suppliers regarding rates
  • Rate negotiations
  • Preparation of rates and quotes
  • Maintenance and distribution of the rate tariffs
  • Assist the sales team further where required with any sales appointments, marketing and promotions
  • Timely reporting and various analytical and statistical functions.
