About the roles

All are ideally looking for a Business Development Manager, ideally a candidate at a senior level, where you are the face of the company, out there gaining new business opportunities. You will be given tools of trade to do the role and there is a great support structure behind you.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Obtain new business through prospecting and solution selling
  • Meeting and exceeding KPI's
  • Developing ongoing relationships to ensure you are cross selling and increasing revenue streams for the business
  • Sales reporting and maintain CRM notes

 

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with;

  • Proven BDM experience in freight forwarding, or come from a Key Accounts or similar role in the industry
  • Professionally savvy
  • Excellent presentation with clear communication ability
  • Ability to maintain your administration in CRM and working with tight KPI's
  • Exceptionally self motivated and commission driven
  • Ability to manage key relationships

 

About you

First and foremost, you need to be driven, a true hunter and drive to succeed.  Freight forwarding experience and knowledge is a must along with a strong disciplined work ethic with the resilience to work in a competitive industry.  You will maintain a professional standard out there in the market place, have the confidence to compete and the success there on in will lie with you.

 

Remuneration:

Freight Junior - Career Opportunity!

We are looking for bright young sparks who have the nouse and common sense and good wits about them to join our clients who are in the freight forwarding game.

What do I need to be eligible for the role?  Great question!!  What you need is at the very least is either a recognised course in freight like a Diploma in Shipping and Freight OR a minimum of 1 year experience already working in freight OR a Graduate just out of University  -  Couldn't be easier!

 

The roles:

We have multiple entry level positions into freight forwarding which will introduce you to operations, imports, exports, third party logistics, e-commerce and transport.

 

Skills and attributes required:

  • Great communication skills
  • Reliable transport 
  • A quick learner
  • Some geographic knowledge of where countries are overseas, and of New Zealand.
  • Can handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • A team player
  • Honest, hard working and reliable
  • Someone who is able to do overtime as and when needed
  • Any experience with Cargowise One would be extremely beneficial.

 

Remuneration:

These positions start from around $45K p.a. and can go to 50K dependent on your skills, qualifications and work history.

 

They are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm however, please note that in the freight industry, there are busy periods throughout the year and therefore our clients need people to be flexible to do overtime when required.

About the business and the role

Our client is a very successful Operator in the 3PL/Distribution Industry.    They are seeking down to earth, driven Graduates, analytical, great communication with the potential for growth with a career path to Client Manager/Site Manager positions.   If you are not a Graduate you may have experience in a 3PL Distribution or Freight Forwarding where you are co-ordinating at ground level.  

 

Job tasks and responsibilities

 You must have a passion for learning all aspects of the business from Logistics, Pick Pack, Despatch, Customer Service through to Operations.  

Starting off in pick pack and despatch you will be taking calls, monitoring emails, despatching jobs and problem solving.

 

Skills and experience

 This is a very fast paced environment and you need to have an eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

  1. Graduate degree ideal in- Supply Chain and Logistics/Commerce/B Com/Management or experience
  2. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Suite (using 2 screens)
  3. You will need excellent numerical skills and an eye for detail
  4. Excellent communication skills are essential 
  5. You need drive, determination, be bright and switched on!

 

Job benefits and perks

The role is offering a great starting package of $21.00-$22.00 per hour.  You will need a Restricted licence, either be a Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Hours are a 42.5 hour week flexible inbetween the hours of 7.00am-5.30pm - Mon- Fri. Roles based Airport and Otahuhu.

The role:

The duties are not limited to the below:

  • Receipting manifest or prealert from overseas origin office
  • Processing and data entry of import shipments coming in
  • Ensuring all docs are received to pass to the Brokers for clearance
  • Track and trace
  • Bond checks
  • Invoicing
  • And plenty of liaison with clients, airlines, shipping lines, transport providers and forwarders

 

About you:

You will have already have operations experience, , and you're ready for a challenge in a tight knit team

You will have EDI Cargowise experience, along with excellent attention to detail.

The Companies

One is a fixed term contract of 12 months, but all 3 will include but not be limited to:

About you:

You will need to have a background in export operations whether from an exporter, freight forwarder or shipping line and be familiar with the processes of seafreight and airfreight. A customs pin will also be advantage.

Freight Customer Services

The company:

Our clients are looking for a Customer Service Star in International Freight Forwarding to join their medium sized freight forwarding businesses.  

 

The Role:

The roles will include, (however not limited to):

  • Plenty of client liaison (you  have your own client base)
  • Order placement to overseas origin offices
  • Monitoring the importation of goods, right through to delivery to the final customer
  • Providing order status updates to clients
  • Updating rates, costings and quotes when required

 

Requirements for the role:

You will have previous experience in a customer services role in freight forwarding or our client may consider someone from an import operations background.

  • Must have knowledge and experience of International Freight Forwarding 
  • Candidates with Customer Services, Import Operations or Sales Support backgrounds will be considered
  • EDI Cargowise experience
  • You will need to have excellent communication skills, be customer focused and enjoy the high pace and demands of the industry.

 

Remuneration:

The salary will be dependent on your previous experience and skills however for an intermediate to senior, salary will be approximately  $70k.
