Customs Broker

The Company:

Our clients are well known freight forwarders who are looking for experienced Brokers to join their team. 

 

About the role:

We have several roles available with various companies looking for brokers at an intermediate to senior level.  In these roles, you will be part of the team and sharing your knowledge with those around you. There are a number of key accounts that import and export a wide and varied range of commodities and through your knowledge and expertise you will build a good rapport with the clients.

To be considered for this role you will need to have your NZ Customs Pin and have previous experience as a broker in freight Forwarding, and be confident in classifying a diverse range of commodities from the tariff and have strong knowledge on Customs & MPI rules and regulations.

 

The Candidates they are looking for will be:

  • Customs Broker with Pin
  • Customs Broker with International clearance experience 
  • Accurate and be able to push through a high number of entries.

Freight Junior - Career Opportunity!!

What do I need to be eligible for the role? Great question!! What you need is at the very least is either a recognised course in freight like a Diploma in Shipping and Freight OR a minimum of 1 year experience already working in freight OR a Graduate just out of University - Couldn't be easier!

The role:

We have an entry level positions into freight forwarding which has a focus on export operations.

Sales Support

The company:

Our client is a smaller Freight Forwarder located out at the airport, who is seeking a dynamic personality to join them in a Sales Support role that can make their own!

 

The role:

The functions of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work very closely with Sales and assisting them with any rates, quotes and assist in any tender or project requirements
  • Dealing closely with other forwarders, overseas agents, shipping lines and suppliers regarding rates
  • Rate negotiations
  • Preparation of rates and quotes
  • Maintenance and distribution of the rate tariffs
  • Assist the sales team further where required with any sales appointments, marketing and promotions
  • Timely reporting and various analytical and statistical functions.
  • Update all parties for any industry updates and business news as required

To be the successful candidate you MUST have previous international freight experience, ideally already from a Sales Support role or similar. Export Airfreight Team Leader

 

The company:

Our client is a well known market leader in the freight forwarding industry, based in a prime location at Auckland Airport.

 

The position:

Overseeing the Export Airfreight team, you will be responsible for the quality work they produce and the service they are providing. While working closely with the Export Manager you will need:

  • to be hands on, and not afraid to jump in and process jobs where and when needed
  • to handle escalations
  • to ensure staff performance, compliance of policies and procedures along with profitability

Logistics Coordinator

  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers and customers, addressing and problems or complaints
  • Support warehouse operations

Experience and skills sought:

  • Solid background in logistics and knowledge of export documentation (Dairy, MPI etc )
