Your ability to manage the entire Import process is essential as the client needs you to hit the ground running.  Your new role will include but not be limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines and local forwarders, releases and schedules
  • Register and process clients' documents/shipments
  • Track and trace for containers and cargo
  • Invoicing jobs

About the role

The role is Business Development Manager and does require candidates at a senior level where you are the face of the company, out there gaining new business opportunities. You will be given tools of trade to do the role and there is a great support structure behind you.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Obtain new business through prospecting and solution selling
  • Meeting and exceeding KPI's
  • Developing ongoing relationships to ensure you are cross selling and increasing revenue streams for the business
  • Sales reporting and maintain CRM notes

 

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with;

  • Proven BDM experience in freight forwarding
  • Professionally savvy
  • Excellent presentation with clear communication ability
  • Ability to maintain your administration in CRM and working with tight KPI's
  • Exceptionally self motivated and commission driven
  • Ability to manage key relationships

Job Description

Export Operators! 

 

The company & role

Our client is a specialist freight forwarder with offices all over New Zealand and Australia and the South Pacific. They have an excellent company culture and handle some really cool freight!

Ideally they are looking for a candidate of an intermediate  level  with experience in FAKs, Export  Sea, and Airfreight, with customer services thrown in there too. 

 

Duties will include:

  • Handling bookings from clients
  • Arranging bookings with shipping lines and airlines
  • Arranging cartage
  • Processing export documentation
  • Pre-alerting overseas agents
  • Rates and quotes
  • Invoicing
  • Handling client enquiries and any other duties as required.

Remuneration:

The salary for this positions will be based on your previous experience, but my client will pay up to $65,000
